# 8 10 page paper statistical methods

Building on your case assignment from module 4, you will complete your signature assignment. Specifically, you will prepare a 8 to 10 page paper in which you address the following: 1. Continuing with the five research articles that you found your case assignment, describe the levels of measurement used in each of the articles. Follow this format: 1. For article # 1, describe the variables under consideration (both dependent and independent)2. Discuss the level of measurement of each variablenominal, ordinal, interval, or ratio. 2. For each of the five research articles you used in your case assignment, discuss the test statistics that were used. State whether or not they were parametric, or nonparametric tests. 3. Critique the test statistics used in each of the research articles. Based on the level of measurements of the dependent and independent variables, where the appropriate statistics used? Describe whether or not the findings in each of the research articles you selected for this project are able to be generalized to the current issue you have selected in your current, or previous organization 1 / 2 5. Describe whether or not you found the reporting of the research findings useful. Tell me what the authors could have done to make the reported research more “user friendly” to the person reading their article.

Feedback from my last assignment.

Feedback: You did well on this except for your interpretation of type 1 and type 2 error. The p-value helps prevent type 1 but Beta helps to prevent type 2 error. There are different factors including sample size that is important in preventing a type 2 error. It is not as simple as accepting or rejecting the null but putting into place the methods and statistical approach to avoid both error types. Plus you needed more detail on the data.
