I first of all learned about the Contract Management and the concepts associated with the formation of contracts. I learned the key elements in the formation of a contract that includes – offer, acceptance, consideration, capacity of the parties involved in the contact, and intention of the parties to contract. I further came to know about the different guidelines associated with the supplier selection process. It is important to identify the potential suppliers so that we can form contracts with them and start our business operations subsequently. There are several requireemnts of the supplier that we need to analyze before finalizing the formation of a contract. We even need to check out the functions involved in contract management so that we can form contracts without any hassles. The next concepts and theories that I learned and found useful were of Quality Management. I learnt about its evolution, and how Total Quality Management is playing a major role in several of the leading organizations of the world. It is important to maintain good quality by following certain quality concepts and principles. There was even discussion on the Six Sigma Technology that is turning out to be useful for several organizations. I further learnt about the Kaizen program and The 5s program, which actually is a strategy for continous improvement. It involves tidiness, orderliness, cleanliness, standardize and sustain.
