You will review research-based articles related to a mental health issue and its treatment (i.e., depression and its treatment, schizophrenia and its treatment). You will review three (3) research-based articles, and write a summary of your review. Your paper should provide an adequate review in no more than five (5) pages. Your paper should be typed and double-spaced on standard-sized paper (8.5″ x 11″), with 1″ margins on all sides. You should use a clear, 12 point font that is highly readable. APA recommends using 12 pt. Times New Roman font. You must provide a Cover page and a References page. You are expected to follow APA guidelines. Further guidelines, a rubric and template will be provided to you in Canvas.
Outline for your paper:
1. Introduction: Describe the mental health issue you will be focusing on. (One introductory
paragraph).
2. Review of Articles: Write a summary of each your three sources/ articles as they relate to the
mental health issue. For each article review, you should explain the participants of the study
(ages, race/ethnicity, other demographics), the methodology of the study (e.g., survey,
experiment, interview) and the outcomes.
3. Conclusion: Write a conclusion that includes your own thoughts, opinions, comments on your
literature review/ the articles you reviewed. Here are some questions to guide your comments:
What are concerns for you with regard to the findings? What do you see as the limitations of the
research? What do you think needs to be considered for future research? What additional
questions do you have about the mental health issue that was not addressed in the literature that
you reviewed?
Formatting
:
Cover Page: A cover page required. A template will be provided for you.
References: Include a reference page where you list your references in APA-style.
Length, Spacing, Font: The paper must be typed, double-spaced, include one inch margins, 12-point
Times New Roman style font, and a page length of no more than six (7) pages.
Please keep in mind that your cover page and reference page are NOT included in the page minimum
length.
Submission:
Submit a copy of the paper through Canvas If the assignment is not submitted through Canvas by the due
date and time, it will be considered late. Late assignments are deducted at 10 points per day.

Plagiarism: Be especially alert to the issue of plagiarism in this assignment. Review the information on
academic dishonesty in the course syllabus. You are to write your own summary, not one copied from an
article, classmate, or any other source. If you use direct quotes, please be sure to cite it appropriately
(APA style). All papers must be submitted through Canvas for Turnitin review (plagiarism detection).
Please note that documented incidences of plagiarism on any assignment or exam in this course will result
in a grade of “F†for the course as well as a referral of the matter to the Office of the Vice President for
