Requirement: This research paper needs to be four full pages (MLA format) and should focus on the novel “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelly. It requires to have elevated vocabulary which is adequate for the literature writing class. The research paper needs to be based on a research question which you are free to choose. Even so, the professor gave us a hint and it was represented by “forbidden knowledge in Frankenstein novel”. If you are familiar with this aspect, you could write the research paper based on it. You are free to use external sources to support your affirmation but it is important to make sure that they are reliable. Overall the paper should include a research question which should raise the interest of the reader. It is important to always refer to the Frankenstein Novel as it represents the centerpiece of the essay. The professor is not interested in reading a summary of the book (this is a RESEARCH paper, NOT a summary). Critical thinking will be essential to make sure that you understand the concepts presented in the book.
A research question should NOT:
– have an easy and simple answer
– be impossible to answer
– be only an opinion
– be a claim or assertion like a thesis sentence
And keep in mind that as you begin to research your topic and learn more about it, you
may find that you need to revise your original question
Format: The paper should be written in MLA format. A minimum of 4 full pages are required.
