A copy of the debtor’s federal income tax return for the most recent year ending immediately before the fi ling of the petition. The official forms must be completed accurately, sworn to under oath, and signed by the debtor. To conceal assets or knowingly supply false information on these schedules is a crime under the bankruptcy laws. With the exception of tax returns, failure to fi le the required schedules within forty-five days after the fi ling of the petition (unless an extension of up to forty-five days is granted) will result in an automatic dismissal of the petition. The debtor has up to seven days before the date of the first creditors’ meeting to provide a copy of the most recent tax returns to the trustee.
