a) Assume that each activity must occur in SEQUENCE (1, 2, … 6). Draw a capacity flow diagram, identity the bottleneck, what is the overall capacity?
b)
Dunk T. is the owner of this restaurant. Stephen, an ISE142 SJSU student, came into his shop and Dunk was impressed about Stephen’s ability to optimize processes. Based on Stephen’s quick analysis, he told Dunk that he could DOUBLE his capacity by adding one additional worker. Dunk was amazed and asked Stephen to join his team and prove the capacity could be doubled.
Confirm or discredit Stephen’s analysis. Can Dunk Donuts Shop capacity actually double by re-organizing & grouping tasks and adding one more worker? (Reminder: all steps must be in sequence)
Draw a capacity flow diagram and what is the new overall capacity.
