Candidates will use an online search engine to identify two reading tests to examine for this research assignment. The purpose of this task is to provide opportunities for candidates to explore test that are appropriate for inclusion in content-area classrooms. Task 1: Write a comparison contrast paper outlining the similarities and differences of the reading tests (3 pages). Task 2: Develop a slide presentation of 12 slides or more to address the following questions: Which tests did you select and why? Which skills do the tests address? How many versions are there of the tests? What are the pros and cons of the test? Are the tests reliable? How might you use the reading tests in your classroom? Task 3: Write a reflection of how this task has enhanced your knowledge of the importance of reading tests.
