The owner of Harry’s Car Sales pays each salesperson a commission based on his or her monthly sales. The sales ranges and corresponding commission rates are shown in Figure 10-20.

a. Open the Harry Car Solution (Harry Car Solution.sln) file contained in the ClearlyVB2012Chap10Harry Car Solution folder. (The image in the picture box was downloaded from the Open Clip Art Library at http://openclipart.org.) Code the btnCalc_Click procedure so that it calculates and displays a salesperson’s commission. Use the If/ElseIf/Else form of the If…Then…Else statement. Save the solution and then start and test the application. Close the Code Editor window and then close the solution.

b. Use Windows to make a copy of the Harry Car Solution folder. Save the copy in the ClearlyVB2012Chap10 folder. Rename the copy Modified Harry Car Solution. Open the Harry Car Solution (Harry Car Solution.sln) file contained in the Modified Harry Car Solution folder. Change the selection structure in the btnCalc_Click procedure to a Select Case statement. Save the solution and then start and test the application. Close the Code Editor window and then close the solution.
