In this exercise, you modify the Olympic Medals application coded in the chapter. Use Windows to make a copy of the Olympics Solution folder. Save the copy in the ClearlyVB2012Chap10 folder. Rename the copy Modified Olympics Solution. Open the Olympics Solution (Olympics Solution.sln) file contained in the Modified Olympics Solution folder. In addition to displaying the country’s name and total number of medals, the interface should also display the number of gold, silver, and bronze medals the country won. The United States won 46 gold, 29 silver, and 29 bronze. China won 38 gold, 27 silver, and 23 bronze. Russia won 24 gold, 26 silver, and 32 bronze. Make the appropriate modifications to the interface and code. (Hint: Add some additional labels to the interface.) In addition, use the Select Case statement to code the selection structure in the btnDisplay_Click procedure. Save the solution and then start and test the application. Close the Code Editor window and then close the solution.
